Understanding the Mind of the White Liberal

A guest blog by Royal Star Allah. I LOVE this one by the way :)

The Brother Minister was in full cry. He was in his element, among Rev. Albert Cleage’s folks, with their pan-African theology. When Cleage started fighting with a rival leader, he called Malcolm to keynote a two day event entitled “The Northern Negro Grass Roots Leadership Conference.”

Congressman (Rev.) Adam Clayton Powell was in town at the competing event.

Malcolm stepped to the challenge and delivered the most famous speech of his career. It became the signature speech by which he was later known to younger personalities, such as Stokley Carmichael.

It was November 10, 1963. It was a dangerous time to be “Black” in America. Birmingham was literally hell on Earth. Since the beginning of the Civil Rights movement on December 5, 1955, Birmingham averaged one bomb every 4.5 months. Over 20 bombings had gone completely un-investigated until the faithful one that went off on September 15, 1963. (More on that later.)

Malcolm was in rhythm. He had tackled all the supporting evidence to his thesis, which was that the “Big Six” Civil Rights organizations were paid by the Kennedy Administration to put on A. Phillip Randolph’s famed “March on Washington.” Randolph had threatened every President since Franklin Delano Roosevelt with a march by “Black” workers on the White House.

It actually happened, to everyone’s surprise. Especially, the cameras. No one in the street could understand how the March received so much publicity. As Fannie Lou Hamer in Mississippi would later discover, time on television came with a heavy price.

“[Then] the Negroes started talking – about what? That they were going to march on Washington, march on the Senate, march on the White House, march on the Congress, and tie it up, bring it to a halt, not let the government proceed.” (1)

His hoarse tenor verbally punctuated the air. “They even said they were going out to the airport and lay down on the runway and not let any airplanes land. I’m telling you what they said. That was revolution. That was revolution. That was the black revolution!

“It was the grass roots out there in the street. It scared the white man to death, scared the white power structure in Washington, D. C. to death; I was there! When they found out that this black steamroller was going to come down on the capital, they called in Wilkins, they called in Randolph, they called in these national Negro leaders that you respect and told them, ‘Call it off.’ Kennedy said, ‘Look, you all are letting this thing go too far.’ And Old Tom said, ‘Boss, I can’t stop it, because I didn’t start it.’ I’m telling you what they said.” (1)

Malcolm wasn’t lying. He had his information on eyewitness. On August 28, 1963, the day of the March, while standing among the 200,000 who gathered, the FBI agent assigned to watch Malcolm got close enough to overhear the Brother Minister question “why Negroes should become so excited about a demonstration ‘run by whites in front of a statue of a president who has been dead for a hundred years and who didn’t like us when he was alive.’” (2)

II.

When “the Conscious of America” jumped off script and began preaching – literally! – Dr. King’s inner circle held their breath. They knew two of Kennedy’s men stood guard to cut the power to the PA system should the wrong thing come out of King’s mouth. (3) Gospel singer, Mahalia Jackson started shouting behind the preacher.

They watched as Dr. King brought the African American church into the televised homes of America. He kept his balance, ever mindful of his body language. They followed his cadence, heard the familiar refrain of contrasting black and white images, the slide into Biblical poetry and - unclench your hands, Martin! - into the oldest line in the MLK toolbox, “I have a dream . . .”

And, it worked. The crowd erupted into thunderous applause.

Dr. King barely noticed. In the moment, he was wrapped in the emotions of having messed up. He had transitioned well enough – still, in the end, he had done what came natural; he had started preaching and using the material that his aides had told him was old and tired. In fact, he had used it twice the week before in Detroit and Chicago. Thankfully, the national news cameras didn’t know anything about that. (3)

In fact, neither did the President. Although he had met Dr. King several times , John F. Kennedy witnessed his first Dr. King speech that afternoon. All 18 minutes of it. His response was quick and short. "He's damn good."

A gallup poll later revealed that most of white America didn't understand why Dr. King was so angry. (Time Wise, Anchorage, AK, Sept. 14, 2010)

Can you name them all?

“I have a dream,” the President said, as he greeted an uneasy Dr. King at 5 pm. In the meeting that followed, Dr. King was mainly silent. He cracked a few jokes towards the end and then the President ended the meeting at 6:12 pm. (4)

Again, Minister Malcolm X, “I know you don’t like what I’m saying, but I’m going to tell you anyway. Because I can prove what I’m saying. If you think I’m telling your wrong, you bring me Martin Luther King and A. Phillip Randolph and James Farmer and those other three, and see if they’ll deny it over a microphone.” (5)

Such a meeting never happened, on paper or in person.

“Once they formed it,” Malcolm continued. “with the white man over it, he promised them and gave them $800,000 to split up among the Big Six; and told them that after the march was over they’d give them $700,000 more. A million and half dollars – split up between leaders that you have been following, going to jail for, crying crocodile tears for. And they’re nothing but Frank James and Jesse James and the what-do-you-call-‘em brothers.” (7)

No money went towards march expenses, which were cleared before the March.

Dream sequence or no dream sequence, the world came crashing down upon Dr. Martin Luther King's head on September 15, 1963 when a bomb went off at the 16th Street Baptist Church. So convinced was the FBI that Martin Luther King was a double agent working with the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, that on Sept. 20, 1963 the FBI first believed the bomb was planted there - on purpose - by a member of the Nation of Islam.

The Evolutionary Process pt1

In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful,
If we travel on the wheel of time, almighty Allah always raises up prophets and messengers. Why? It is because man has strayed away from the right path-his natural path. By nature, man and woman is designed to be in complete submission to the will of Allah. However, throughout time, man has been falling short of this glorious task. Complete submission to the will of Allah is synonymous with perfection. Since Allah's will is perfect, submission to it, makes one perfect. Whomever we submit to, we begin to take not their coloring- their perceptions, thoughts, ideas, and often even their motives. Therefore the quran says

"We take Allah's color, and who is better than Allah at coloring, and we are His worshippers."

However, the question remains HOW or WHERE does the desire for man to do contrary to Allah's will come from?

It comes from imperfection. When The Originator created Himself, there was imperfection within Himself. How do we know? Because His creation is not perfect. Study the Earth, the Sun, the moon, the stars, or even ourselves. None of these celestial bodies, called planets, are perfectly circular-and as we know a circle represents 360 degrees. To go further, try to draw a perfect circle freehanded. You can't! This is just a small glimpse into the larger picture. Imperfection and perfection, polar opposites which dwell succinctly inside us all.

Well the, how do we attain this perfection? Or how do we thwart the relative power of imperfection?

*I interrupt here to note that although imperfection was there in the beginning, imperfection can be and has been overcome by the eternal Allah through a PROCESS of constant evolution.*

In Surah 70 of the Holy Quran, Allah is called, "the Lord of the Ways of Ascent." Allah overcame imperfection and attained to perfection( see study guide 11). Therefore, He is the only one able to guide us to this glorious stage. He is the Master, Controller, Grower, and Evolver of us as we ascend toward perfection. Lord of the Ways of Ascent. What are these ways or methods by which we can ascend? Prayer, Fasting, Charity, Pilgrimage, and Jihad, all of which contain a vital element of Struggle. Allah MASTERED ALL of these principles of action as He called Himself into existence. In so doing, he expedites the process so that we may more quickly become like Him. In all of this, there is a great measure of suffering.

Well then, how does Allah raise His vicegerent, Man, up into this exalted state?

"ALLAH (GOD) SHARES HIMSELF WITH HUMAN BEINGS. HOWEVER, WHEN GOD SHARES HIMSELF WITH US, HE GIVES US A DIFFICULTY TO OVERCOME. WE HAVE TO STRUGGLE WITH THE LIFE FORCE THAT IS WITHIN US, WHICH IS THE ONLY FORCE THERE IS, THERE IS NO OTHER FORCE BUT GOD. THERE IS BUT ONE LIFE THAT IS GIVEN TO US AND THAT IS DIVINE LIFE.
HOLY QUR'AN READING: 'AND WHEN THY LORD SAID TO THE ANGELS, I AM GOING TO PLACE A RULER IN THE EARTH, THEY SAID, WILT THOU PLACE IN IT SUCH AS MAKE MISCHIEF IN IT AND SHED BLOOD? AND WE CELEBRATE THY PRAISE AND EXTOL THY HOLINESS. HE SAID: SURELY I KNOW WHAT YOU KNOW NOT."- Study Guide 10, the God within

In the same study guide, we learn that the Earth is comparable to Man. The waters like mans blood. The rocks like mans bones. The trees like mans skin. But Allah declares He is going to place a ruler in the Earth. He is going to place a ruler in the minds of a group of men who would in turn rule the Earth. But, the angels ask what would he do of positive. Allah simply knows what they don't. Allah is placing a man, who would sculpt a people.

The book of genesis opens, god created the heavens and the earth, and the earth was without form and void. Anytime, a people lack form and are void someone must come to sculpt or shape that people. Allah placed a ruler in the Earth to do just this, even though the ruler did not know it. He uses this brutal ruler to give the people the right structure, form, or foundational spirit that they can withstand a greater weight at a latter time.

The angels that questioned Allah thought, even if just for a second, that Allah may have been making a mistake. Allah took one from the line of angels or scientist ,by the name of Shabazz, and had him to take us and prepare us to visit the pit of hell. For we would later rise to the heights of heaven. In study guide 10 the minister writes, "It is only through our lowest state that he may lift us up." Even when we think we know something, Allah will show us our ignorance and use us to fulfill His ETERNAL plan by revealing eternal truths through contemporary messengers that become catalyst for everlasting change.

Dr. King once said something very very profound: "Undeserved suffering is redemptive."

More coming soon.

Can the Woman Build Human Potential

This is a guest blog by a Sister Believer whom I absolutely admire and consider a very good friend. The Believer's are friends of one another, if you didn't know :). In any event, She's a Sis that I never have a problem pointing to when asked about the future of the Nation, and the future of Allah's chosen People. ENJOY ! ! !

A guest Blog By Sister Khadijah Mahasin Baha Muhammad...

With the woman being the direct descendant of All Mighty God Allah, in her ability to create as God creates is her ability to build Human Potential….. With that being said, this article is dedicated to our very own Sister Student National M.G.T. & G.C.C. Captain Sandy Muhammad.

Sister Captain Sandy, in her brilliance, has given the Women of the Nation of Islam the chance to come to Allah (God) with the Mind of God. In my eyes, she is the Mercy given to us from God and has begun to, as our lessons teach us, “lay the Pressure Upon their (the MGT) Minds of their many errors in the Past and Present, that they may see the Light and Walk therein.”

For myself personally, she has made me mindful of who I am and who’s I am and in her reminder, the feeling of aversion does not enter into my heart and the choice of straying away is not an option. What she has done is placed myself along with a Nation of Women on the path of righteousness….

In that Mercy, is the act of devotion that every nation is appointed with. We can only follow one, if we are wise women, with the knowledge to take this world from a world ruled by Satan to a world where there is only room for the righteous. Not to agree with the movement of this Nation is not to agree with God’s Plan. Our lessons teach us that Master Fard Muhammad can sit on top of the world and tell everyone that the Most beautiful Nation is in the wilderness of North America. In order for him to fulfill his prophecy with the black woman, we MUST allow our wonderful sister to bring that treasure buried under the sands of the desert to the top.

In the Maulana Muhammad Ali translation of the Holy Qur’an Surah 36:48, the question is asked, “When will this promise come to pass, if you are truthful? This promise will come to pass as long as we stay on the path Allah (God) is leading Sister Student Captain on. We are also taught in the Holy Qur’an that the opponents of truth are punished. On the day when man is judged will not be the time to ask to be averted from the fire you lit for yourselves because you are not following the path of righteousness. Footnote 2603 tells us that the light of truth would shine forth, but not without a grave misfortune to those who refuse to go forward, and this is a warning…. Need I say more?

Women were in need of spiritual and moral direction. Now that we have that direction, what will we do with it? We have been given the knowledge and wisdom to attain perfection, but what are we going to do with it?

The only way this can happen is for us to know our self worth and see that Allah did not leave us without yet another leader. He has left us with His Spiritual daughter, a Mary that will herself, Insha’Allah, along with the rest of the Women of God be the ones to give birth in the future to the Jesus, the Moses, the Muhammad’s, and other Prophets of the Bible and Holy Qur’an. We are able to now be the Women of Amran. She is guiding us with the prayer of Mary’s mother while Mary was in her womb and showing us the importance of staying under the charge of Zacharia, (The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan) and never again be women led astray by this worlds life, because through us, the old world order will be null and void.

In that pressure, stress is laid upon the Believers to no longer be comfortable with foolishness but to receive the Mercy that Allah has given us in Sister Captain Sandy. In her comes the first step to getting this nation back on the track only we as women can provide to our Nation. We are taught that a nation can rise no higher than the woman so we have to lay the foundation for the proper environment in order for Spiritual Development of God’s Nation to take place. That first step is Correction and the proper environment is the mind the gives birth to every man and woman in existence.

Sister Sandy is a reflection of God and is breathing the Spirit that God has filled her with into a nation of women that we may rise to eminence and never again look, speak, walk, act, weigh, or produce other than ourselves. In the church, they sing a song in the choir that says, “the Spirit of God is upon us” and if we desire to reflect that spirit in our everyday lives, we must begin to “see the Light and Walk therein.”

Allah, we are taught in the Holy Qur’an, gives true guidance to whom He pleases, and I am blessed to know that there is a sister among us that was given that guidance, and has shared it. The Holy Qur’an footnote 1610 says, “the man (or in this case the woman) who shuts his eyes to the Reminder leads a straitened life because he does not receive spiritual blessings. It is only a contended mind that brings ease and comfort to man, and contentment comes only through faith in God.” When we hear the words of our beautiful sister, who speaks with the Authority and Love, the Love of God comes through her voice and purifies the hearts of the ones listening. I am so blessed that I am a member of the Nation of Islam. I feel so worthy.

That is what is happening to the MGT & GCC class. Sister Sandy is grafting the Minds of the Women of God back into our original state which is righteous women that are direct descendants of All Mighty God Allah so that we may fulfill His prophecy which is to produce the New World Order. It has to come and can only come through the Woman if she has the Mind of God.

To my conclusion, the Holy Qur’an speaks of dead earth being raised to life. Praise be to Allah for her vision because without a vision a people shall perish and the MGT as a whole were beginning to perish… In the Holy Qur’an, in footnote 2110, it tells us what a good woman is. If we are striving to have a pure and unsoiled character, then it is time to see the Light and Walk therein…. The blessing Sister Student National Captain Sandy has given us is not only for sisters, but we are the ones it has been presented to at this time. We are the Mothers of Civilization, so if we are not civilized we are savages. That is NOT what Allah (God) intended for His women to be… We all want to be purified, be it from water or fire, the flesh will be rid of uncleanliness. So let us be mindful that the ones before us paid a price, the ones in our presence are paying a price, and the ones that will come after us will have to pay a price for all that we say we believe. If that price means the Gardens where I am able to walk therein, then the Spiritual Advancement I receive by following Sister Sandy is the reward I shall receive.
.
Surah 3:30 says as I close, “Say if you love Allah, follow me: Allah will love you, and grant you protection from your sins. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Being worthy enough to live among such a righteous example for the Women of God is indeed a blessing…..

May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon the women and men of the Nation of Islam.

Making The Word Flesh-A Brief Story of Grindin

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Allah is the creator of all things, the revealer of all truth, the Lord, nourisher, sustainer, and evolver of all things into their eventual perfection.

A Business is a project. A Business is a project that requires the personal involvement, effort, and work of concerned men to organize to achieve a measure of success. In the word Business the letter ‘i’ can be interchanged with the vowel ‘y’, making it “Busy-ness.” Business requires motion.

The first step toward the establishment of a Business is motion. The first form of motion is thought, which travels at 24 billion miles per second. The first thought that must come is the vision that we have. In his recent lecture titled, Put on the New Man, Minister Farrakhan gave a simple blueprint. He said,

“The ideal scene is composed of vision that has set a goal, and then a process, and a strategy, and tactics, and policy, and data to help us move toward that goal.”
The above are the key elements to the establishment of any business: Visison, Process, Strategy, Tactics, Policy, and Data! To further illustrate the process by which one can attain a state of busy-ness, the Minster continued,

“A nation of gods that have the intelligence, the skill, to say "Be." Organize their gifts, skills, and talents, and resources with a plan and bring what they envision into existence.”

If a man (business) TRULY desires success something more is required! Any business that expects to have true longevity must be attached to the source of longevity, Allah. “We were birthed into His Universe which is a manifestation of His mind.” The Universe is a manifestation of the mind of Allah. Our Busy-ness is the manifestation of Our minds. The spiritual always descends into physical form. Therefore, “You can tell the mind of a man by the working of his hand.”

When establishing a Business, it is important to realize that through your and my intimate relationship with our Lord, we are most able to achieve success. In Study Guide #4 by Minister Louis Farrakhan he writes, in regards to our connection to the Lord of the way of Ascent- Allah. He states, “Lord of the ways of Ascent indicates that Allah (God), the Author of all existence, has given to the whole creation its means of nourishment and has even ordained for every single one of us, a sphere of capacity. Within that sphere, He has already provided us the means or ways by which each of us attains to our goal of perfection in that which He has given us.” Anything we wish to accomplish, business related or otherwise, it absolutely possible as long as we are connected to the Lord of the Ways of Ascent. Then He pre-provides the means, greatness, and mechanisms necessary to accomplish a task. Calling on him, by the way, does NOT excuse us from WORKING Ourselves! It simply puts us on the right course toward perfection.

When we make Allah (God) the true center of All Reality in our Personal live, then we begin to see beneficial results later on. This is the glue that sticks the key principle to each other thereby creating a good, positive, and peaceful cohesion upon which Business’ lay.

All of the above can only be considered to be theoretical until it is actually applied. I along with some classmates put the theory to practice! During my junior year in higschool, I along with my high school classmates was able to open a student ran coffee shop. We originated the idea in our Principles of Business class, which we had planned to channel our natural entrepreneurial abilities by opening a Business. This is the first step, THOUGHT. Unbeknown to us then, we would eventually open a full-service coffee shop to our fellow students, staff, and faculty. This is the Second Principle, VISION. We began to brainstorm and work on small steps toward creating our own coffee shop. Early on, the matter of financing had created doubts for us. At that time we were uncertain how to pay for such a project. Fortunately, as we were inviting young people to hear Minster Farrakhan’s “Justifiable Homicide” lecture series, we encountered a flyer offering up to $5,000 for youth who were interested in starting a business. Immediately, we hurriedly continued creating a Business plan to apply for the grant albeit the deadline was three days away at that time. Our application was accepted and we were granted the “free” money, which allowed us to jumpstart our Business. Here, we began taking our vision and making a manifest reality. To complete our project we had to finish our Business Plan, which included the following skills as, mentioned before: Vision, Process, Strategy, Tactics, Policy, and Data.

Be sure to follow your vision and then call on the author of your vision. Never let opposition become a deterrent. If we want to see a new reality, then we must build it OURSLEVES!

“What is man but what he strives for? “–Holy Quran 53

The Shabazzian Cycle: In the Shadow of Time

How Shabazz was right and What does he teach Us?

Throughout time, we constantly see cases of an individual or group of individuals who have an idea. But this idea is rejected by those who rule or by the people. It seems, quite unfortunately, that there is a sort of revolving door with this. The individual is right; the individual’s rightness is denied; the individual rebels. Over and Over again! It’s time to stop the revolving door!

Shabazz had an idea to make a people stronger than nature. He presented this idea to the Holy and Wise scientist of Islam (The Order of Melchiesidek) and they agreed that Shabazz’s idea was not useful and would not be followed. However, Shabazz’s idea was Right and necessary in the more grandeur scheme. If he had not went through with His idea we would NOT have survived slavery and the coming of Allah IN the Person of Master Fard Muhammad would have been inhibited.

Shabazz’s rebellion was wrong. But his idea was Right! His idea served a purpose that he may have seen that the Scientist did not see.

Mary desired a good man (Joseph) and a great child. Zacharias did not ‘like’ or agree with Mary’s idea for a mate because He did not meet Zacharias’ standards. Nonetheless, Mary’s idea for a man was perfectly met by Zacharias. We know this today because they, although in rebellion to the law of the time, gave birth to a mighty son.

Shabazz’s idea was right but the elders of that cycle did not see the Scope of Time. They could only see 25,000 years in advance. Zacherias (I may be beyond MY Scope here! Lol) may not have seen the future of a relationship between Mary and Joseph. He may not have seen the idea within the Scope of Time.

Shabazz’s idea was NECESSARY and is the reason we, the Blackman of America survived!

Whenever we are evaluating ideas, we must try to look at the idea within the lens and scope of time!

The Broader Picture:

“Whenever a man shows up and he comes up with something that is beneficial to some with a view of making it beneficial to all, that's not an ordinary man. I want you to hear this. See, common man always wants something for himself. That's why all common ideas die…When a man comes with an idea that he tells you is not for some but it is for all. I wish I could write on a board but I can't. But just look at the word ALL, and the word ALLAH. See when a man comes with an idea that is good for all, he comes from ALL, he comes from ALLAH. The idea is in him, but it's for all.” ~ Minister Louis Farrakhan, Put on the New Man

More Specifically:
When new ideas are presented, we must be wise enough to examine them in the fuller context. We must view them in the scope of time. When Youth present new ideas, elders MUST be willing to examine these ideas within the scope of time! For “In the last days,' God says, 'I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.”

Reader Feedback: What can be done to reverse the trend?

*Disclaimer: REBELLION IS NEVER GOOD. Don’t be irrational and think that just because YOU think something is right, you should rebel. Especially in this hour when we are divinely guided!

The Science of Love

Remix! :D

Love….Love….Love…

1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

WOW! According to the scriptures there is a direct correlation between knowing God and Love. When one Knows God, they also Know love. In other words, “Know God: Know Love. No God: no Love.”

To know god, One must love. Why?

“Knowledge is the result of learning and is a force or energy that makes its bearer accomplish or overcome obstacles, barriers, and resistance (Message to the Blackman, pg 41, last Paragraph).”

Learning is the result of EXPERIENCE. (Ex. If I claim to know how to drive (after reading the Drivers Ed Manual), but I have never driven one, do I REALLY know how to drive? NO. I can declare I’ve learned how to drive only after actually driving.)

When we EXPERIENCE Divine Love, we are LEARNING the reality of God.

This universe is a manifestation of the magnitude of His Love. Allah WILLED the universe into existence. The root of the will is Love.

“But there is an emotional force that gives direction to Will. And the emotional force—which is the creative force upon which the entire Universe is constructed—is Love. And it is out of this awesome power of Love that the Will springs up; it springs up out of this emotion, and it is directed and guided by that emotion (click here to read).”

How do measure love? How do we KNOW when we love is present in one’s heart and mind? A measurement is a mathematical computation…

God IS love. The nature of God is Islam. Islam is mathematics. Think and re-read. Substitute “is” for “=”. The Result is: God=Love and God's nature, Islam=Mathematics---The laws of mathematics teach us that congruencies are interchangeable. Mathematics further teaches us that if a=b and b=c then a=c. LOVE IS MATHEMATICAL.

The question that we must ask is how have we SHOWN our love?

True Love must be entrenched in the standard of love set by Allah himself. Allah SHOWED his love by coming to the Hells of North America Himself. Allah SHOWED His love by defying the pattern of simply sending a Messenger, but instead raising one up HIMSELF. Allah SHOWS His love everyday in his oft-repeated attribute of Beneficence and Mercy.

LOVE..LOVE..LOVE

Almighty God Allah constantly reminds us of his unlimited love as he sends us Messenger after messenger through the wheel of time. He Manifest his divine love by His Actions.

Lastly, I quote the Minister again :)

“When she meets the Spirit of God in a well made Man, She CANT help herself. I don't care how hard she is, you can soften her up”- How to Give Birth to a God, Part 2

“"Women Love Men who ARE Love. Who are Loving.”-How to Give Birth to a God, Part 2

Why? It is because the Spirit that Allah comes with is Love. And when a Man/Woman manifest this beautiful spirit, it naturally attracts the God within others.

LOVE…LOVE…LOVE!!!

1 Corinthians 13:1-3(I HIGHLY suggest reading this whole chapter) If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing.

Will Power: Allah in Man

WILL POWER:
ALLAH IN MAN
by The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan

[Editor’s note: The following text by Minister Louis Farrakhan is taken from Vol. 6, No. 3, February 15, 1997]]

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
Our subject matter for discussion is titled, "The Will of God." Everything in creation is the manifestation of the Will of God. All of creation expresses the Attributes or Characteristics of this Mighty Being, the Originator of the Heavens and the Earth. But the Will of God is the Power behind the throne. The Will of God is the Power behind the Universe—its creation, its maintenance and its sustenance.

The Holy Qur’an constantly reminds us that Allah’s command is just "Be!" And it is. But this is not some spooky term such as "Abracadabra!" or "Open Sesame!" When Allah (God) says, "Be!", He summons the Power of His Own Being, His Creative Mind and Will, to bring about that which He Wills.

When Allah (God) says, "Be!", this is an expression of His Will. But it is more than just the expression of His Will, for when He says, "Be!", He arranges forces, resources, angels, people—according to a Plan—to bring about the fruition of His Will.

Allah’s Will never fails. There is no plan by any scholar or scientist, no power in the heavens above or in the earth beneath that can circumvent the Plan of Almighty God. In fact, the plans of the present world leaders were all taken into consideration. Before they were even a thought in the mind of their father, their plans were known. Their scheme was known. And Allah (God) took their plans into consideration. He places His Hand over their plan; He places His scheme over their scheme, so that even their wicked schemes help to bring about the fruition of His Will. That is a Mighty, Powerful Being we are dealing with. When He says, "Be!", it is.

What a wonderful thing, that Almighty God, Allah, chooses to share this Power with humanity! Think of that, Brothers and Sisters! Almighty God, Allah, Who has created everything by His Will, shares His Power with you and me! We, today, have the ability to will. We have the ability to plan, to organize and to bring into fruition our plans. We, too, can say "Be!", go to work, and it is.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad has taught us that the brain of man is "infinite." I want you to think of it—THE BRAIN OF MAN IS INFINITE. If the brain of man is infinite, then man can bring into existence whatever he conceives in his mind, the repository for Allah (God), the place for the God to dwell. God is infinite in the brain of man.

In the New Testament, Jesus says that he knocks and if we will open up to him, he will come in and sup with us. This does not mean that he is a visitor standing outside your door (although it could mean that, too), but just as you would open the door of your home to allow into your home one who is a friend, likewise, we should open the door of our ears, the door of our heart, the door of our mind, to let Almighty God, Allah, come in. For there He wishes to dwell, in the infinity of the brain of man.

The Will is the real power of Allah (God) in man. However, the Will must be buttressed, or supported, by Faith and by Knowledge. Let us look at Will and its meaning; Faith and its meaning; and Knowledge. Let us look at what Allah (God) has given us of His Will. And what do we have of Faith? What do we have of Knowledge to buttress and support the power of our own being?

"Will," according to Webster, is "the faculty of conscious and especially of deliberate action." There is no action that is not preceded by a conscious thought, planning and then the carrying of a plan into action. "Will" is the power of control that the mind has over its own action(s).

To be able to Will is to have a creative force within that actually can change the condition of our lives, the condition of our homes, the condition of our community, the condition of the Nation and the condition of the World.

But Will without Faith, Will without Knowledge, is power without direction. It is power that can be manipulated. It is power that can actually be used by a smart, crooked deceiver to make slaves of the totality of the human family. Therefore, all of us must be possessors of Knowledge and Faith.

Faith, of course, is "confidence or trust in a person or thing." Faith is having confidence in your own ability or in someone else’s ability. In the divine scheme of things, Faith is having confidence and trust in His Word—knowing that His Word never fails; His Plan never fails; His Will never fails. When we put our trust completely in Allah (God) and in His Word, we have the ability to see beyond our knowledge—for what we know is limited.

Faith can be as big as a mountain. Faith can be as big as the Universe itself. Regardless of what you know, you must have a greater Faith than your Knowledge, for your Knowledge is, of a surety, limited, no matter how much you know. But if your Faith in Allah (God) is great, then that Faith will lead you to greater and greater Knowledge.

We must be faithful men and women, but we must also be possessors of Knowledge. There are so many of our people who have a lot of Faith but very little Knowledge. We need both, Faith and Knowledge, to buttress and support the power of our being, which is our Will.

Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said nearly 1,400 years ago: "One who goes out in search of Knowledge is in the Path of God until he returns." Why did Prophet Muhammad make such an utterance? It is because when we go out in search of Knowledge, we should never return. For Knowledge is the path of Allah (God). And Knowledge, like Allah (God), is infinite. When you go out after Knowledge, never say, "I found it!" For when you have said you have found it, you have stopped searching. You have stopped seeking. When you stop searching, stop seeking, you reach a plateau of learning. That plateau leads to the death of your society; the death of your own power; your creative energy.

Unfortunately, this is what has happened to this world in which we presently live. Man has amassed a lot of Knowledge but, unfortunately, he believes that he has found it. And in finding it, he has lost it and is no longer in the path of Allah (God). So the Knowledge that he possesses leads his society to greater and more complex problems that his own Knowledge gives him neither the light, nor the ability to solve. This is when Allah (God) steps in, when our own Knowledge fails us.

Knowledge without Faith is like a ship without water. Can you imagine a ship without water? No wonder the people in the days of Noah laughed at him because he built a ship and there was no water. But Noah knew what the people did not know; he knew that water was, indeed, coming.

What about you with this tremendous skill in science, mathematics, physics, chemistry? Don’t you realize that you are, yet, a baby? You have a little bit of Knowledge and very little Faith in Allah (God). Consequently, your Knowledge takes you nowhere but to self-destruction. And so, beloved, each of us would want to develop the power of our own being; to use that power to better ourselves, ourfamilies, our community, our people, our Nation, the World. We must seek Knowledge and we must develop Faith. For it is Knowledge and Faith that buttress and support that great power of Allah (God) in man—man’s ability to Will.

The Will is protected and also sustained, not only by Faith, but also by our Attitude, which demonstrates the degree of our Faith. We cannot have a powerful Will and a weak Attitude. The Attitude that we have is for the protection of the Will. Change your Attitude and you might redirect your Will.

Attitude is "the manner, disposition, feeling, position" with which we regard a thing. It is a "tendency or orientation, especially of the mind." Think of these words. It is a "tendency" or "orientation" of the mind." In fact, Attitude can give you—or damage—your ability to perceive reality. Mood can color your perception. So we have all of these things that affect the Will, and, in fact, redirect the Will. Beloved, we must be careful of our Attitude.

Will is the Power, but Power must be guided. Guided by what? The Power of the Will must be guided by Knowledge. But there is an emotional force that gives direction to Will. And the emotional force—which is the creative force upon which the entire Universe is constructed—is Love. And it is out of this awesome power of Love that the Will springs up; it springs up out of this emotion, and it is directed and guided by that emotion. When you couple Will and Knowledge and Love, then you have a balanced individual whose Will is being used in a creative, constructive way, not in the way of destruction.

Let us take a look at the things that adversely affect the Power of Allah (God) within man. From the time that the baby comes into the world, we see a demonstration of Will. Mother is not teaching the child from "day one," yet the child accomplishes much in that first year of life. From what? From the Will.

The Will moves the child to grow and grow and grow. The first year is the strongest year of educational development. It learns more in the first year, and without a teacher!

The teaching comes from within. What does that tell us? That there is a power within every human being that can teach and direct. That power is connected to its Source. It can be a Source of comfort, guidance, protection and deliverance for every human being.

Thank you.
